Luxury assets valued at over $4.5 million were seized in April 2025, linked to a previously convicted hacker from Queensland, Shane Stephen Duffy. The seized assets include a beachfront house, a 2019 black Mercedes-Benz sedan, and nearly 25 Bitcoins. This seizure follows a multi-year investigation by the Australian Federal Police's Criminal Assets Confiscation Taskforce (CACT) into stolen cryptocurrencies and cyber hacking activities.
