Researchers Discover HTTPBot, a New Botnet Targeting Gaming Industry

Researchers from NSFOCUS have discovered HTTPBot, a botnet written in Golang that, since April 2025, has launched more than 200 targeted DDoS attacks against video game portals, tech companies, and educational centers, primarily in China. Unlike traditional massive campaigns, HTTPBot aims to take down critical functions, such as registration processes.
