The National Security Agency (NSA) has published "Fifty Years of Mathematical Cryptanalysis (1937-1987)" by Glenn F. Stahly in response to a FOIA request. The document contains numerous redactions. This is the second time the NSA has declassified this document. A copy was obtained by John Young in 2019, with fewer redactions than the current version. No information provided in 2019 has been redacted in this version. Readers are invited to share their interesting findings in the comments.
