A federal indictment unsealed today charges Rustam Rafailech Gallyamov, 48, of Moscow, Russia, with leading a group of cybercriminals responsible for the Qakbot malware. Known under the pseudonym "Cortes" and other aliases, Gallyamov is accused of conducting a long-running global ransomware conspiracy. The announcement follows a video titled "My Happy Lie — Cortes" released by Operation Endgame.
