FBI Warns About AI Voice Scams Targeting Government Officials

The FBI has issued a warning about cybercriminals using AI to clone voices and impersonate high-ranking American officials through text and voice messages. Since April, these scammers have been targeting current and former government employees. The FBI's recommendations include creating secret words or phrases to verify identity, verifying through a separate channel before responding to unexpected requests, and never sharing 2FA codes.
