Researchers from Darktrace have discovered a new botnet called PumaBot that targets Linux-based IoT devices. PumaBot uses SSH brute force attacks to steal credentials, spread malware, and mine cryptocurrencies. Unlike other botnets, PumaBot does not perform broad scans on the Internet but uses a specific list of targets.
