
Meta Disrupts Clandestine Influence Operations from Iran, China, and Romania

Meta announced in the first quarter of 2025 that it had dismantled three clandestine influence operations originating from Iran, China, and Romania. These campaigns targeted Romania, Azerbaijan, and Taiwan. Meta detected and removed these networks before they could build authentic audiences on its applications. The operations included 658 Facebook accounts and 14 Pages.
