Cisco Talos Uncovers Malware Disguised as Legitimate AI Software Installers

Cisco Talos has discovered that malicious software, including the ransomware CyberLock, Lucky_Gh0$t, and Numero, are masquerading as legitimate installers for software and AI tools, such as ChatGPT and InVideo AI. These malwares are distributed through fraudulent downloads, deceiving users into believing they are installing popular artificial intelligence tools. The impacts include the infection of systems with ransomware and other types of malware, compromising the security of users' data and systems.
