Order of Psychologists of Lombardy Fined €30,000 for Inadequate Data Security

The Privacy Guarantor has imposed a fine of 30,000 euros on the Order of Psychologists of the Lombardy region for failing to adopt adequate technical and organizational measures to ensure data security. This action follows complaints and the notification of a data breach by the Order, which reported being the victim of a ransomware attack. The Order of Psychologists of Lombardy did not implement sufficient protections to prevent and detect this attack, leading to the sanction.
