The Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center in Seattle has agreed to pay approximately $11.5 million to patients following a ransomware attack in 2023 that compromised their personal data. The attack, carried out by the group Hunters International, targeted parts of Fred Hutch's clinical systems. The total cost of the settlement, including legal fees and other expenses, amounts to about $52 million.
