China-Linked Threat Actor Targets Over 70 Global Organizations in Cyber-Espionage Campaign

A threat actor linked to China, known as PurpleHaze, targeted more than 70 global organizations, including governments and media outlets, in cyber-espionage attacks from July 2024 to March 2025. In April 2025, cybersecurity company SentinelOne warned that PurpleHaze had attempted to conduct reconnaissance activities on its infrastructure and high-value clients. These actions suggest targeted cyber-espionage efforts aimed at gathering information.
