Evoke Wellness, based in Hilliard, Ohio, must pay $1.9 million to settle FTC allegations that they misled consumers seeking treatment for substance use disorders. Evoke is accused of using Google ads and telemarketing to impersonate other clinics. A court order permanently prohibits Evoke from engaging in similar deceptive conduct. On June 10, DataBreaches sent a request to Evoke Wellness regarding an insider breach reported in Ohio media but not mentioned on their website. No response has been received to date.
