Solar Power Systems Vulnerable to Cyber Attacks

Researchers have discovered 35,000 solar panel systems exposed on the Internet, with 46 new vulnerabilities among major manufacturers. Unlike traditional energy production, solar systems use Internet connectivity for network synchronization and monitoring, making them vulnerable to attacks. Attackers have already hijacked 800 SolarView devices in Japan for bank fraud, and Chinese threat actors are conducting similar activities to infiltrate infrastructures.
