Apple Discloses Security Flaw in Messages App Exploited in Cyberattacks

Apple has revealed that a security vulnerability in its Messages app, now patched, was actively exploited to target members of civil society in sophisticated cyberattacks. The vulnerability, listed as CVE-2025-43200, was fixed on February 10, 2025, as part of the updates iOS 18.3.1, iPadOS 18.3.1, iPadOS 17.7.5, macOS Sequoia 15.3.1, macOS Sonoma 14.7.4, macOS Ventura 13.7.4, and watchOS 11.3.1.
