The U.S. Attorney's Office has filed a civil forfeiture complaint against more than $225.3 million in cryptocurrency. According to the complaint, the U.S. Secret Service and the FBI used blockchain analysis and other investigative techniques to determine that the cryptocurrency is linked to theft. The funds were seized as part of an operation aimed at dismantling cryptocurrency confidence scams. The case was filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.
