In May 2025, Cloudflare mitigated a distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attack of record magnitude, peaking at 7.3 Tbps, targeting a hosting provider. This DDoS attack is the largest ever recorded by Cloudflare. The attack was successfully mitigated, thus avoiding major disruptions for the targeted hosting provider.
