
Cloudflare Blocks Largest DDoS Attack Ever Recorded

Cloudflare has announced that it autonomously blocked the largest distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attack ever recorded, peaking at 7.3 terabits per second (Tbps). The attack, detected in May 2025, targeted an unnamed hosting provider. The attack lasted 45 seconds and delivered 37.4 terabytes of data. Omer Yoachimik of Cloudflare highlighted that hosting providers and critical internet infrastructure are increasingly becoming targets of such attacks.
