Increasing Cyber Attacks on Local Authorities in France

In 2024, more than 4 cyber incidents targeting local authorities are recorded each week in France, accounting for 14% of all incidents handled by ANSSI. Among these incidents, 44 affected departments and 29 other local authorities. These distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks target various local authorities, highlighting a growing trend.
