Suspected Iranian Hackers Target UAE Aviation and Satellite Communications Sector

A new highly targeted phishing campaign has targeted fewer than five entities in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in the aviation and satellite communications sector. According to Proofpoint, which detected the malicious activity at the end of October, the attackers used a previously unknown Golang backdoor called Sosano. The hackers, suspected to be Iranian, exploited the compromised email of an Indian company to carry out this attack.
