In 2025, Hunters International announced that they will provide free decryptors for all victims as they cease their activities. Initially, it seemed that Hunters International was abandoning the encryption of victims to reposition itself under the name World Leaks. However, Hunters continued to update their leak site with new encryption incidents instead of focusing solely on extortion. A spokesperson for World Leaks then informed DataBreaches that they had severed their ties with Hunters International.
