Taiwan's NSB Warns Public About Data Risks from Chinese Apps

The National Security Bureau (NSB) of Taiwan has alerted the public to security risks associated with the use of applications developed in China, such as RedNote (alias Xiaohongshu), Weibo, TikTok, WeChat, and Baidu Cloud. These applications pose risks due to excessive data collection and the transfer of this data to China. The alert follows an inspection of these applications conducted in coordination with the Ministry of Justice Investigation Bureau (MJIB) and Criminal Investigation.
