A new data leak from the Strava application has revealed the running and cycling routes of Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson and his bodyguards. Similar incidents in 2024 involved the US Secret Service and the bodyguards of Emmanuel Macron. In 2018, secret US military bases were located via the application. These incidents show that sensitive data is being made public by Strava users.
