A Russian blockchain developer has reported to "Kaspersky Lab" the theft of cryptocurrencies worth approximately $500,000. The incident occurred after the installation of a malicious package from Open VSX, disguised as an extension for Cursor AI. The package contained an infostealer that allowed the attackers to steal the funds. The attack targeted users of Solidity Language, a programming language for smart contracts.
