Description
In June 2017, 8tracks, an online playlist service, experienced a data breach where attackers exploited an employee's unsecured GitHub account. This security incident led to the compromise of 17,973,712 user accounts, exposing email addresses and salted SHA-1 password hashes of users who signed up without using Google or Facebook authentication.
