Description
In July 2018, a security incident at the sales engagement startup Apollo resulted in the exposure of vast amounts of data. The breach compromised approximately 98 million records, revealing both personal and professional details of individuals. This included names, email addresses, phone numbers, as well as employers and job titles. The breach did not expose passwords, social security numbers, or financial data, as emphasized by Apollo. The leaked data was part of Apollo's 'revenue acceleration platform' and was left publicly accessible due to a lack of password protection.
