In February 2024, DemandScience by Pure Incubation, a US-based technology-enabled marketing services provider, suffered a significant data breach. The incident exposed the personal and professional information of over 132 million users and company contacts. The compromised data included unique email addresses, IP addresses, job titles, names, phone numbers, physical addresses, and bcrypt-hashed passwords. Initially, the data was offered for sale, but it quickly spread on public forums, impacting a vast number of individuals and organizations.
