Description
In December 2018, the video messaging service Dubsmash suffered a significant data breach. The breach exposed 162 million records containing email addresses, usernames, password hashes, geographic locations, names, and spoken languages. Following the incident, the compromised data was listed for sale on a dark web marketplace in 2019 and subsequently began circulating more broadly.
