Description
In October 2020, a large-scale scraping operation targeted Gravatar, enabling the extraction of user data such as names, usernames, and MD5 hashes of email addresses. This data, comprising approximately 49 million unique records, was circulated within the hacking community. The breach exposed detailed personal information including email addresses and other associated user data after many of the MD5 hashes were cracked.
