Description
In March 2021, Luxottica, one of the world’s leading eyewear companies, experienced a data breach through one of their partners. This incident exposed the personal information of over 70 million individuals, including names, dates of birth, genders, email addresses, and physical addresses. The compromised data, later sold on a hacking forum in late 2022, also included contact numbers and further details. Luxottica has acknowledged the breach and are evaluating their notification obligations.
