Description
In December 2017, the online photo editing site piZap experienced a data breach. The incident resulted in the exposure of sensitive user information, including approximately 42 million unique email addresses, full names, geographic locations, and social media profiles linked to Facebook. In cases where accounts were created directly on piZap, SHA-1 hashed passwords were also compromised. The breached data eventually surfaced for sale on a dark web marketplace in February 2019.
