Description
In July 2018, ShareThis, a social bookmarking and sharing service, was compromised in a data breach that exposed 41 million user records. The breached data included full names, usernames, email addresses, hashed passwords, full birthdates, and in some cases, social information. In 2019, the compromised data was discovered being sold on a dark web marketplace and began circulating more broadly.
