Description
In January 2020, the Wishbone app experienced a significant data breach where over 40 million records containing usernames, email addresses, full names, phone numbers, country addresses, social media profiles, IP addresses, full birthdates, and hashed passwords were leaked. The breach exposed a vast array of personal information, including the inadequate security measure of storing passwords as unsalted MD5 hashes, leading to extensive redistribution of the compromised data.
