Description
In December 2022, the investment research company Zacks experienced a data breach that affected nearly 9 million customers. The breach exposed sensitive information such as names, usernames, emails, physical addresses, phone numbers, and passwords stored as unsalted SHA-256 hashes. The incident was initially reported in early 2023 with the compromised data being more widely circulated by June 2023.
