Description
In November 2013, the image-based social network We Heart It experienced a data breach that went unnoticed until October 2017. The breach exposed 8.6 million user records, including usernames, email addresses, and hashed passwords. A significant portion of the passwords were hashed with salted SHA-256, while the rest were hashed using unsalted MD5.
