Description
In January 2014, Snapchat experienced a significant security breach where 4.6 million usernames and phone numbers were exposed due to vulnerabilities in their service. The attack was executed by brute force enumeration against the Snapchat API, a week after Gibson Security highlighted these vulnerabilities. This breach allowed attackers to link usernames to phone numbers, compromising user privacy.
