Description
In September 2016, a data breach at ClixSense resulted in the unauthorized access and exposure of 2.4 million subscriber identities. Attackers obtained extensive information, including usernames, passwords, full names, email and physical addresses, dates of birth, genders, IP addresses, account balances, and more. This information was subsequently leaked online by threat actors, who claimed it was part of a larger breach affecting 6.6 million records. Passwords were notably stored in plaintext, making the severity of the breach particularly concerning.
