Description
In March 2017, a dataset purportedly sourced from Factual, a data aggregator, was circulated online. This dataset comprised 8 million records containing business names, addresses, phone numbers, and 2.5 million unique email addresses. Despite the circulation of the data being referred to as a 'breach', Factual clarified that the information involved was publicly available data concerning businesses and points of interest, which the company had already made accessible on its website and to its clients.
