Description
In August 2019, Audi USA experienced a data breach after a vendor inadvertently left sensitive customer data unsecured on the internet. The breach exposed 2.7 million unique email addresses along with names, phone numbers, physical addresses, and vehicle details, including VINs. Audi's disclosure also indicated that some customers' drivers licenses, dates of birth, social security numbers, and additional personal information were compromised.
