DMARC Mandatory for Emails Sent to Outlook, Live, and Hotmail
EmailSecurityAuthenticationComplianceCybersecurity
Starting May 5, 2025, domains sending more than 5,000 emails per day will need to comply with SPF, DKIM, and DMARC standards to send emails to Outlook, Live, and Hotmail. Non-compliant messages will initially be directed to the junk mail folder and could eventually be rejected if issues persist. Senders must authenticate their emails with SPF, DKIM, and DMARC, and DMARC must be configured to at least p=none and aligned with SPF or DKIM.
