Hackers linked to North Korea are using fake job offers in the cryptocurrency consulting sector to distribute malware through fictitious companies. The campaign, called "Contagious Interview," lures victims by enticing them to download malware such as BeaverTail, InvisibleFerret, and OtterCookie. The scammers often use fake LinkedIn profiles, with attractive photos and images of "welcome kits" to make the opportunity seem legitimate. The malware is linked to an infrastructure based in Russia, with the aim of stealing data and redirecting funds to North Korea.
