On the occasion of the ninth anniversary of the GDPR and the seventh anniversary of its full application, the EU Commission is considering a new version 2.0 of the regulation. This revision comes after nearly a decade of application and aims to modernize the framework for the protection of personal data. The EU Commission plans to update the regulation to better address the current challenges of digital privacy.
