Leader of Qakbot Cybercrime Network Indicted in U.S. Crackdown

U.S. authorities have indicted Russian national Rustam Gallyamov for leading the Qakbot cybercrime network, also known as QBot, QuackBot, and Pinkslipbot. This botnet has infected over 700,000 computers and has been used to facilitate ransomware attacks. Qakbot is a malware that has caused significant damage by compromising devices and enabling additional attacks.
