A new cyberattack campaign is targeting businesses in Taiwan using the Winos 4.0 malware, hidden in phishing emails disguised as communications from the country's National Tax Bureau. Detected last month by Fortinet FortiGuard Labs, this campaign marks a shift from previous attack chains that utilized malicious applications related to games. The attached malicious file purports to be a list of important documents. This campaign is attributed to the Silver Fox APT group, known for its targeted attacks against Taiwanese organizations.
