The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has finalized an order with GoDaddy to settle allegations that the web hosting provider misled consumers by failing to implement data security protections, leading to multiple data breaches. In January 2025, the FTC alleged that despite its claims of providing "award-winning security," GoDaddy did not implement standard data security tools and practices to protect its customers' information.
